The Census is Coming . . .

The Census form is longer than ever this year. They are asking all
kinds of personal questions and say it will not be used against you.

Did you know that President Roosevelt used census records to hunt down
Japanese-Americans in World War II and place them in internment camps?
At the same time Hitler was busy using their government records to
locate Jews for shipment to Auschwitz.

The US Constitution states the ONLY question you are required to answer
is the first one, "How many people live in this residence?". You don't
have to give your age, your income, your ethnicity, your favorite food,
or your political beliefs. It is none of their business and can only be
used against you.

Keep this in mind when you get the form in the next couple weeks. The
Census is only meant as a means to determine the population of locales,
in order to ensure proper representation in Congress. The states with
the most population get the most representation.
